Established as a Softball Club: 2017
First established as a nonprofit in 2017 with the intent to provide extra softball opportunities in addition to what Sitka already provided. Sitka Fastpitch focused on a off season program to build skills, offered clinics and travel opportunities. The club proudly operates with the same intent today and still runs a similar program to the day we started. We love watching the program grow and adding to our opportunities yearly. 

First Travel Team: 2017
Multiple teams traveled to Juneau this first year and a 10U team traveled to Oregon. Nearly the same 10U team played together through 18U with Sitka Fastpitch Softball and continued into high school competing in multiple state tournaments and winning back to back titles. We've traveled yearly since and taken as many as 3 teams south in a year.  The future teams look to be following in these same footsteps. Excited to see what the future holds.

Facility Opened: late 2019
Thanks to a grant Sitka Fastpitch was able to open a 2,400sq ft facility in 2019. Volunteers pulled together and built our facility by hand. Turf, netting, equipment and more. Surviving covid, our cage is still going strong providing a space for our program to call home. It's been fun watching the cage come to life from bare walls to walls filled with yearly banners, trophies and plaques. Now filled with hours of softball, private businesses and more.
